Current G750 owner, possibly going with a different brand next.

Anyone know why Asus has decided to bump down on the GPU memory in the newer ROG models? I have owned nothing but ROG laptops
Since I think the G51 with a 9000 series Nvidia graphics card. In the last few generations, it seems they have always gone above and
beyond on GPU memory which helps with the longevity of the laptops. My old G74sx had a 3GB 560m in it. My current G750 has a
4GB 780m in it, I think they had some models of the 751 that had 8GB, then they go back down to 4GB??

These days with the GTX 970 memory fiasco and games starting to show that the 4GB barrier can be broken and some games can
utilize more then 4GB of video memory, Im starting to eye other manufactures such as Gigabyte/MSI because they chose to go with
8GB on their 980's.

I have a lot of Asus products, including their Asus 3200 router and a Stryx 980 on my desktop. But I cant see myself going with a 4GB 980 when others in the same
price range have 8GB. I plan to keep my laptops for a couple years and I don't want to be possibly bottlekneck'd down the road.
(ROG has simply become too expensive compared to the competition with same specs... 😞 )

There's no way you'll be using 8GB of VRAM.
