    Yeah it really bugs me because it runs so smooth otherwise. I'm running the steam version. Do you think it could be a problem with my laptop?

    This error is not caused by your laptop but the game itself. So many people reported this issue. If you have steam version try to use this workaround as well, maybe it will help you.

    Navigate to GTA V installation folder
    Move the two files on desktop (just in case for backup) or delete : d3dcsx_46.dll and d3dcompiler_46.dll
    Repair the installation
    Launch the game with directX 11
    In-game pause menu, go to Settings> Graphics
    Turn off "Ignore Suggested Limits"

    Don't want to jinx it but I haven't had a crash in a few hours after that last method. Fingers crossed it holds.
