8 Pin & 4 Pin CPU Power

I have heard conflicting reports from asus techs and other people. This board has an 8 pin cpu power and a 4 pin cpu power. The manual is also very unclear. Should I plug just the 8 pin cpu power or both 8 & 4 pin?

On a side note, GPUs that require 2 8 pin power is there any difference if you use 2 separate PCI-E power cables or if you use the one that splits at the end that gives you 2x 8 pin power.

Thanks in advance!

PCI-E for graphic cards ONLY.

take a look at the sheat that came whit the PSU ( if there is one that is ) you can use the 8pin on the mobo,
and the 4pin is for OC abow 5GHZ, but connecting them both would be no problem.

The 8 pin power connector should be populated at all times. The extra 4 pin connector is optional but highly recommended to be populated if your PSU has the extra cable and if you're planning to overclock your processor.

Regarding the PCIe cables, it's a matter of personal preference. I, for one, run two separate PCIe cables per GPU.
