Asus g751jl sata 2 or 3?

I want to upgrade the HDD in the G751JL I am buying (G751JL-T7003H).

I will be upgrading the RAM using: "HyperX Impact Black 16 GB 1866 MHz DDR3L CL11 SODIMM Laptop Memory Kit (2 x 8 GB)"

I want to upgrade the HDD to an SSD but I am worried about it being a waste if it's a SATA 2 Port.

Does it have an M.2 Slot at least?

Chances are that if you don't get a M.2 SSD with it your not going to get connection. Main port 0 is SATA 3 2nd port is SATA 2. So yes put your SSD in the main port and use your old hard drive in the 2nd slot for data. To add RAM you have to match the RAM you already have Timings and Voltage
