Sound card for Maximus Hero VII motherboard

Hi:

I have been using Sennheiser G4ME PC gaming headset (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KK8ZLEC/ref=twister_B00OZP5HG8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) since I set-up my PC last year with ASUS Maximus Hero VII motherboard. I have been happy with the sound quality I get through these headsets, when connected through MB. However, from the reviews of my headset (especially this review: http://www.amazon.com/review/R100ZY6SBUKIBG/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00KK8ZLEC&channel=detai...), I recently purchased ASUS Xonar DGX sound card as it was suggested to deliver better audio quality. Do you think this sound card will provide better sound quality vs. onboard audio in this Motherboard? Will appreciate your advice very much!

Almost any 3rd party sound card will outperform onboard sound, however if audio quality is what you're after then you should've gotten the essence stx II. I run the xonar d2x which has a fabulous sound with my beyerdynamic dt990 pro headphones.
Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Wi-Fi Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master, AMD 3900X, EVGA 360 aio, 32gb G.Skill Trident Z Neo, Samsung 970 Pro NVME 512gb, WD Black NVME 1 TB, Crucial MX500 2tb, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP!, EVGA Nu Audio, CM HAF 932

Thanks for the reply. These are some expensive sound cards! I am looking for a sound card which is <$50. Do you such a card (like Xonar DGX) will be a better solution than onboard audio on Maximus VII Hero?

I'm also curious about this. I just built a new rig and am wondering if I should transplant my DGX to the new one (Maximus VII Hero) or leave it in the old one.
