Just got my bracket from Shapeways and it worked great. I was able to fit my 1TB 840 EVO below the M.2 drive.

Thanks aeoliso! Yeah it worked out flawlessly for me. The double sided mounting tape (3M) are stacked twice just to cover the end of the PCB. It's added to make sure that the drive don't walk itself off the SATA port. It's pretty secure lightly pinched below the bracket.

I actually tested the double drive in one bay config on a shake table and the sata drive never walked itself out or even disconnected because of the pressure from the bracket and sata connection but extra insurance never hurts. I always like to overengineer things myself.

Yes, just make sure the measurements are exact to the nearest .5mm if possible. Send me a private message with all the specs and ill design the external enclosure sometime this next week and ill send you the link when its done.

still no words on when shippin date for the gx700. i want 1 of thoze external 2.5 drive case you were talkin bout when will it be in the store and wut cord do i need?

It wont be in the store but ill send you the link when its available but you need to talk to 44bottlesofbeer to ask him where he got his cord.

cud you make one end open like soze i can just use any cord and swap different drives?

Sure i can do that but it will need to have screws to hold the drive in.

I don't really have time to check these forums lately with all the traveling but the most common question I get is which bracket. Each bracket has a through description on shapeways but if your just installing a m.2 and have no intention of doing a second drive in that same bay then this one is the most commonly ordered.
