Hello - sorry for my bad english.
I am waiting for new Samsung SSD m.2 sm951 and I have a problem now.
I have Rampage V Extreme and 2x GTX980 in x16 speed slots and SB X-Fi Titanium in the black x8 slot.
Now the problem - black slot x8 is connected to m.2 so I need to take off my sound card when I insert sdd in m.2
I try onboard realtek audio but it is so bad - problems with 5.1 in games and it is too quiet.
Where I can put my old SB X-Fi to not lost my dual GPU x16 speed ?
I need only x1 speed but if I put X-Fi in red slots I will lower speed of my 2nd gpu to x8.

Hi Kamyk,

You should be able to put your card in any other free/accessible slot, don't have an M2 SSD but did put my ASUS Essence STX II 7.1 in slot two as my GFX cards are taking up slot 1 and 3 and hide slot 4.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong 😛

The last red slot PCIE_X8_4 is the one that shares with M2 so your soundcard will be fine where it is

I think I wrong read manual for mobo. M.2 sharing speed with last red x8 slot.
So the black one is 2.0 x4 speed and my sound card can stay there. Soooooo what about 2x x16 + M.2 ?
If M.2 is connected with last 3.0 x8 and take half of his speed will my GPUs will be x16, x8 and M.2 x4 ?
Or maybe last red slot will be still empty = x16, x16 and x4 for M.2 ?
