just wondering what the differences are in the two. my 2.2 scores were 6700+ and the 2.41 scores are 5500+ I have made no other changes. so what's up

Well they probably made adjustments to the benchmark tests so that's why the results are different. If you run the same version and each time the score is around the same but significantly different in the next version then that proves that there were adjustments made, and nothing to do with your hardware or any changes to your settings.
