    Same as yours really:

Like I said, sometimes it boots, sometimes it loops. I am left crossing my fingers everytime I hit the power button on my tower.

So we both have the Rampage IV Black, I'm thinking thats where the problem lies. Maybe an incompatible driver or a bug thats causing the motherboard to trigger a power off. I have emailed ASUS support so hopefully they may be aware of this or have similar reports and can point in the right direction

received a response from ASUS Support, looks like their advice is to continue using Windows 8 until Microsoft make Windows 10 more stable:
    Dear John,

My name is Paul and I will try my best to assist you with this issue.
Please feel free to rate our service according to the solution provided in the questionnaire that will be sent to you shortly after our reply to your inquiry.

I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your RAMPAGE IV BLACK EDITION/AC4.

Unfortunately at this time there is no information on whether or not there will be a new BIOS update however as soon as one will be developed it will be posted on the Official ASUS support page for this board.

Since there are no inherent hardware faults on the motherboard and considering that Windows 10 just came out it is to be expected for bugs to happen and at this time all we can recommend is using Windows 8.1 until such a time as Windows 10 will be patched up and made stable.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get back in touch with us.

    Best Regards,

    Paul

I've got a similar problem. After upgrading to Windows 10 my PC always restarted at the windows logo, before the loading cycle appears.
The only way to fix this was to disable fast boot in the Windows energy options. So i guess a cold system start takes 5 seconds longer, but no more boot problems.
Something might have changed in Windows 10 with fast boot.

    My specs:
    Asus Maximus VI Hero
    Core i7 4770K
    Gigabyte GTX 770 OC 4GB
    Samsung 840 Pro

Disabled fastboot in OS and in BIOS, unfortunately still the same on the Rampage Black. Am waiting on a response from MS. Will update as soon as....

    Hi Just found this

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/i...2-b1201f735683

    UPDATE:-

Running Windows 10 Now after following one of the suggestions ( No serial No to install from image so just tried the Windows update and it worked)

I think the main Key to my problem was external USB Hard Drives and a USB Card Reader in System Try Removing these and maybe temporary uninstalling any Anti-Virus Programmes.

Thanks for all the replies and help, i believe i may have resolved the issue as per a suggestion from one of the guys on the OC3D forums.

I removed the battery for 60mins( just to be sure), reinserted and upgraded to Windows 10 again. Booting fine every time now. As per my current testing i am 7 reboot and 4 cold boots in with no issues.
Seems there may have been a dodgy setting in the BIOS, i'm back at 1333MHz on the memory with no X.M.P enabled. I will test this config for the next few days and will switch X.M.P back on to see if the issue returns.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and am experiencing the same problem as chuck_norris and others. I also have ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition.

chuck_norris how did you get on after you removed the battery and turned on X.M.P? Did the problem return?

Did all others get this problem resolved?

Yep, removing the CMOS Battery for few minutes and putting back in soled my issues, no problems since. Hope you get sorted!
