Asus Strix GTX 980Ti fan noise?

    Hi

I recieved the GTX 980Ti few days ago and today I just ran the 3D Mark to see how it scored. One thing I noticed when it got hot, was a special noise (coil whine maybe?) from the fans, never heard i from the previous GPU Cards I had before I got this (Asus GTX 670 x2). So I'm just wondering if anyone else have noticed this noise or is it anything that is wrong With my card?

Also another question that's not With the sound. On the Box it says that you get 1 year Premium License for xsplit and when I go to the site where to register it, I get an error where it says the card is not eligible?

I hope anyone can help me With this ^^

    Best regards,
    Stian André Gundersen

I'm guessing the fans started spinning at full throttle which makes them a little loud and noisy.

For redeeming the XSplit license, did you introduce your PPID and Serial Number correctly? http://www.asus.com/event/2015/VGA/XSPLIT/index.aspx

I have to admit, dual 980 Ti Strix cards with fans at 100% are ridiculously loud. Even my older 980 Poseidon didn't come even remotely close to being as loud as just one of these cards at full speed. It's almost hilariously loud, except that it's not funny...

It was a high pitched noise that come probably when the fans were at full throttle, but I've only noticed it during the 3D Mark tests not while I've been gaming The Forest, Ark: Survival Evolved or GTA V.

When it comes to redeeming the XSplit License I used the PPID that I found on the GPU and the Serial number from the Box. I tried to register it the day I got the card and it's been a week and I haven't tried again. So I will check out one more time and see how it goes I'm pretty sure I inserted the right numbers because the first time I tried I got an different error that I didn't insert the right PPID, and the second time I did it right... ( I hope)

Can't really comment on the noise levels since I don't own that particular GPU. But 3DMark pushes the GPU pretty hard. I don't think your fans would spin at 100% in daily usage.
