Dear to all users. I think that i have issues also with my heroVIII. fans are weird. now even with pwm in manual always are 100 percent. today. the ROG start to flash with out any reason. since start AI suit 3 is impossible to use. on normal operations the logo is green since on aura i put it to read the cpu temps. but on bios and the computer off blinks. sometimes red and now yellow. if i redo my HD will be the 3th time. please someone help i have being trying to talk to someone. but since is working the shop that sell me these here said is no reason to RMA these one. i could do a Skype with my trusty old computer so i can do test live if it is posible. Please help

May i ask a nOOB question.??
I have the asus z170 pro gaming board, the last time i reinstalled, clean installed win 10, i after did not install any other speciffic drivers for the mother board, which i have always done before.

I notice everything running fine! what is your oppinion, does one really need to install specific drivers for mobo or are the win 10 included drivers sufficient for this board.

You can check in device manager for any yellow triangles, if you don't have any windows 10 installed the drivers but they may not be the latest ones.

You can get the latest drivers at the Asus support center.

This is for the z170 pro gaming without Aura.

I'd check the version of your graphics driver too.

Absolutely i always have the latest nvidia driver.
It was just the Mobo speciffic drivers i was interested in,,,

and yes i checked all the devices in device manager

Oh i also always have the latest bios 2003 on this one

was just if it needed the other ones really, or if win 10 were sufficient..
win runs fine, i run the board and 6700k oc at a base 4500ghz, and everything is smooth as silk,,


Like i notice no difference compared to before the reformat, when i had all the latest mobo drivers installed seperatly, manually, compared to now, when i only use the ones that windows supplies automaticaLLY.

If you have no yellow triangles in device manager and aren't having any problems you can leave it as is.

PLease Asus, do not drop app support. there is any update on ROG apps like Ai suite and other software updates?

Check ASUS support page for your board for updated apps and drivers, also some of the apps from a new Z-270 board may also work on a Z-170 board, Aisuite, sonic studio, etc. and have just not been added to the support page for your board, I am not sure of this though

Hy Guys!

After I updated my BIOS to 3504, I cant use XMP profile, because the PC dont boot, just with 2133 RAM frequency,
I tried to hard reset my CMOS, but it was not successful.

My specs:
Asus Z170-A
I7 6700k
2x8 GB Kingston HyperX Fury 2667 Mhz.
