Hello, i'm looking for some help getting surround sound 5.1 or 7.1 out of my laptop. G751JY

I have the Astro A50 with Mixamp pro wireless set I originally got for my xbox one. Now I believe it says you have to use an optical cable into the Astro Mixamp to get the virtual surround sound. Our laptops do not have an optical port. Or maybe us a Mini-TOSLINK? I'm not sure what that is. Or if it supports Dolby Digital Live which i'm not sure if it does.

Does anyone have experience getting a headset to receive the surround sound from the laptop? Maybe from the headphone jack port?

Any suggestions? I really appreciate it.

It is a mini tos-link cord you need in the headphone jack.
i use this cheap one because it handles bends well in my configuration

it is the realtek digital output under the windows sound playback devices be sure you configure it.
