Can anyone confirm that the G751, or even most/all ROG Notebooks, does not have Optimus?

Definitely no optimus on any G751, not sure where the break down lays with the others.

Quite the opposite. MOST if not all of them do have it.

Thanks guys, but not sure how to take this if different opinions says it does and don't have Optimus? I'm pretty sure myself that it doesn't have, but was hoping for a conclusive here. Any gaming laptop for the future cannot have Optimus as it will render any VR devices like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive completely blacked out or at best crippled. The drivers for the Rift need direct access to the GPU via HDMI.

no there isn't optimus on G751 period. It would be pointless on a beast like this anyway.

G751JY-T7206H | Windows 10 Pro | DirectX 12

They won't make a bios update for this cause most people were asking to get ride of optimus.

And like i said just because of G-Sync they won't do it

I think that sticker does at best say there are an Intel GPU on the mainboard, but you still need Optimus in hardware to even be able to enable it. No bios update can make new hardware.

And why on earth do you want Optimus on a gaming laptop? That's like having a bicycle transmission on a racing car. I hope I never see Optimus or any similar feature ever.

I think it's just a mistake that sticker.. but no ASUS stop enabled Optimus with the new GPUs in G751..

And because it cause issues with G-Sync, you won't see it anytime soon
