Hi, I just build a new system.
But my Asus motherboard has two LED's that come up.
The first one, is the CPU led, that remains red.
The DDR led flashes.
Could any one tell me what these mean?
right now i have a PhenonII inside for CPU, need to flash the bios for my Fx8150
My ddr3 is on the dominator 4gb... found on the qualified vendor list.

Have you tried re-seating the RAM?

Besides re-seating the ram, you might also want to remove and replace the CPU. While you have it out check all the pins to make sure you don't have ant bent or broken

The CPU worked with my last build, that was a few days ago, and i checked for broken/bend pins etc.
I have re-seated all the RAM too.

When plugging the 8 pin, and the 4 pin CPU power in, my start button lights up, but when pressing it nothing happens.
Normal?

For now, do not connect the extra 4-pin CPU power, just go with the 8-pin.

Please list your system components, including the make & model of your PSU.

Update: When clicking the power button, my PSU made a slight noise, so i used my other power supply, 850w TR2 Rx

This is my old system:Motherboard:Asus 990fx sabertooth

The new system has:

Monitor (connection used): Asus MS23H DVI connection

Are you trying to use the 6pin+2 for your 12 volt power? If so that would be incorrect. Or do you mean you area using 6pin+2 for your Video Card. The correct way to connect your 12 volt power would be to use the two 4 pin connectors from you PSU to the 8 pin 12 volt power connection on your MB

Oh my, tell me you're not trying to connect a 6+2 pin PCI-E power connection to your CPU 8-pin board header.

The 8-pin PSU power connection will be a 4+4 pin or a straight 8-pin connector.

I used a normal 8 pin. (after i realized that the 6+2 pin does not bring power to the CPU.
But, I have tried another 6 core processor, the 1100t. Did not work, both those CPUs do work though. (the 1055t and 1100t)
Motherboard still does not "read" the CPU.
