I have the same issue.
I've tried clearing CMOS, then updating BIOS, then replacing the battery and even changed the GPU slot. The only thing I've noticed is that now it reaches the error page faster. No change.
Someone has suggested clearing CMOS with no power to the board. Here's where I have a question. The Clear CMOS and the Update BIOS buttons on the board have lights that indicate the state of the functoin. If the board has no power, the buttons don't light up. Does that mean it's still working? What's the point of having a lighted Clear CMOS button if you're supposed to press it with no power? I honestly don't know, hence why I'm asking.
I might try unplugging the secondary HDD and the DVD drive.

So, after changing the battery, the issue presisted, but then I turned off the PC, pressed the Clear CMOS button and after a day or so (during which period the power was off for a while), it seems ok. I didn't wait a day on purpose... It just happened...
