Haven't checked this out on my end if you prefer to wait for more suggestions, but if you aren't able to use Fn+F4 to brighten the keyboard backlight, you may want to download and update the ATK driver from the ASUS download site.
Below is the link from the ASUS Global site for the G751JY Win10 ATK driver Version V1.0.0039, but if you want to browse for products later, be sure to switch back to the ASUS website for your region if necessary or just get the new ATK driver from your region's website if you prefer.

Hope this is able to help.Last edited by cl-Albert@ROG; 08-28-2015 at 09:04 PM.

Hey, I just tried the download, but again, the F3 and F4 do not work, and still no keyboard backlighting, but the other F keys are
operational. I am wondering if this is a BIOS issue? Any help is appreciated. Again, I have an older G73 machine and have recently
"upgraded" to Windows 10, thanks.

This is the one issue that I am experiencing as well, a little differently though on a G752VY. Lights work fine after I log in. Before that they are dark and dismal, have to have an exterior light source to see them. Out of the box they were fine. After upgrading to windows 10 pro and all updates including BIOS the lights got lost along the way. Also work fine on a restart, just not on a cold boot. Link above is dead BTW, goes to a laptop sales site. Already removed ATK drivers, cleaned registry with CC cleaner then reinstalled updated drivers.

I have the same issue. The backlight seems to come on at random times. Also off unpredictably. The Fn 4 and Fn 3 buttons seem to have no effect at all.
This is with windows 10, and the latest ATK package. I have reinstalled the atk package several times.
