Looks like no microcode update as it just installed and didn't claim to update anything (came from 1502)
I just need to update the Option rom and raid drivers before I use it as my main BIOS as I finally have raid stability with hacked 1502 drivers.
Shame Asus do not consider this as it is easy enough to implement 14.5 Option rom.

The Intel CPU microcode was updated in Bios 1701 to the latest available version which is: MU063F022E.
Intel i7 5960X @ OC 4.5GHz, Asus R5E, XSPC AX360, G.Skill Ripjaws 4 16GB DDR4-3000MHz, BeQuiet 1200W PSU, Cooler Master Cosmos 2, Zotac GeForce GTX 980 AMP, Creative X-Fi Titanium, 2 X Samsung 840 EVO 250GB RAID 0, 2 X Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB RAID 0, LG BH10LS30

cool, normally I get the "updating, do not turn off" message when that happens.

Anyway, I have modded the BIOS and now run >Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v14.6.0.2285 & EFI SataDriver v14.6.0.2285

Things are a lot better with the raid performance, it hasn't dropped a drive yet.

It took me all of 15 minutes to update those modules. PM me if you want a copy 🙂
