Anyway, I have modded the BIOS and now run >Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v14.6.0.2285 & EFI SataDriver v14.6.0.2285

Things are a lot better with the raid performance, it hasn't dropped a drive yet.

It took me all of 15 minutes to update those modules. PM me if you want a copy
By the way, I am sinders from win-raid that posted the modding info over there for you.

I hope my info helped you out on how to mod the Rampage V Extreme Intel RST(e) RAID ROM & EFI SataDriver.

cool, just posted a huge thankyou for the walkthrough, so easy when it is laid out like that

All working as it should, or more to the point as Asus should have released it considering this is the premium product

You can only flash a modded BIOS using USB Flashback only via putting the BIOS on a USB stick and then plugin the USB stick into the USB port that support USB BIOS Flashback at the back of the board then start the flash process by using the ROG Connect button which is also at back of the board.

Does this modded BIOS have any benefits if you are just running in AHCI mode?

No Idea, I installed it to try and stop the damn board dropping drives at random after seeing I am not alone and getting no help form Asus.
