About to order another psu, set of ram, and either another card in CF or another card in general.

PSU - Corsair AX850
RAM - G.Skill Trident X 16GB(2*8GB) @ 2133 w/ 9/11/11/11/34
GFX - ASUS R7 370 4GB

Only going in on the psu for higher stability OC with extra p4 connector and more watts in CFX, in addition to that was debating waiting on price drop of another R9 270X 4GB since it has higher OC. Anyone have any opinions or suggestions?

Seasonic psus are the consensus here, as well as G.Skill ram

a seasonic 1050 psu would be ok

If you are close to a microcenter they have the 370 4gb for

$164 with $10 rebate

Well I will def have to check that seasonic psu out later when more budget comes available since it is double the corsair.

Ill check it out in time but is that r7 370x an ASUS brand bc I like sticking to the saying of having matching brands/components for highest OC stability and reliability unless nowadays it is a thing of the past.

I prefer Seasonic power supplies over Corsair. If I was in the market for a 800-850W unit, I would buy the SeaSonic Platinum 860W. I have it in a system I've been running for 2 years now and no hiccups whatsoever.

Yeah here's the strix r7 370.

Seasonic psu's are good, the evga supernova psu's are good too and come with a 10 yr warranty.

Ya that's the one I've actually been looking at.
I went ahead with the Corsair was just my budget in mind but I just see so many peeps with Corsair on mid-high OC, I've had my Raidmax for over 4 years and have had no problem so I hope This Corsair AX850 Pro 80PLUS GOLD will be kind to me as I abuse it 🙂

You would get more performance by adding another r9 270x in X-fire. Even though the r7 370 is newer the 270x is a little bit better performer in most games. 270x in X-fire would give you pretty much double the performance you're getting now.

Here are some benchmarks at 1080p for comparison.

If it were me I would add another 270x and go with the evga supernova 1000w for 159.99 after rebate. JohnnyGuru gave it a 9.4 out of 10 and has a 10 yr warranty.

Ya I def want to go for one but idk why but I bought my ASUS TOP for 189 and I barely see them under 250, I was tempted to just go with the 2GB version since its 160 but it was bugging me that it'd be 2 dif memory caps. Unless I'm wrong to assume that in more recent tech the memory dif caps would not work well still, I guess I'll be prowling for another at my price.

as for the PSU I had a 100$ cap for both it and my memory so I just gave this one in specific a chance

Honestly I've never had to use a warranty on anything and I usually push parts for 5-10yrs at most before replacing or reducing clocks, and I've never had a failed component although I try to be pretty cautious on voltages and always try for monthly deep clean.
