Thinking of replacing my current PSU with this Thermaltake. I could use some quick input/advice from current users and/or techs.
Thanks in advance for either one.

personal opinion, Stay with companies such as Corsair, Seasonic, EVGA (They use the SuperFlower PSU's) and or XFX (they use Seasonic).

Most highly recommended companies. Give the amount of reviews against it, id say steer clear.

$30 more, FULL modular, and on top of that it has a 10yr warranty when registered. I own a 1300W EVGA PSU, never had a single issue and I can't hear it.

If what you're looking for is a 1000W Gold certified unit, I'd grab the SeaSonic X-1050. It might look a little more expensive than the one you're looking at but it's worth the investment.

Either one of those would be a good investment, and the smart way to go. I need to look into the direct connection that the Corsair PSU has that
I might just get the retail of that Corsair instead of the refurb. Whatever I get, I want good 12v AMP's out of it.
Just wish they had a fan controller interface like the Corsair. The price of anything worth having is going to be fairly high.

Thanks Arne Saknussem PC and Nate152 for the input. This CVFZ has been a pain, and that's why I'm trying to get another PSU. It went down for some
after having it replaced 3 times, and took out all my drives with it. I've been able to test the cards, CPU, and mem on other boards, but don't have the
equipment to test the PSU the way it needs to be checked. Have an OHM meter ordered though, and should be getting it in around Thursday. I'll
do tests on it then, but I think it best if I go ahead and get a new "quality" PSU so I can put it in this rig, and use the Raidmax
(if testing shows it to be ok) in another Sabertooth I'm getting ready to put together.

All good recommendation! Thanks to each of you for lending a hand with this, and Arne Saknussemm, love that data base reference guide!...thanks!
Ran across a Corsair RM-1000 (refurb) on Newegg that I'm reading up on as I write this. If it offers the possibility of extended warrantee, I may buy it.
Budget's a big thing for me, yet, so is dependability.
Since I run the H100i, and this PSU offers the controller for it, it's definitely something to think over considering my budget at the moment.
It also offers a single 12v rail, vs the 4x12v rails on the Raidmax. Hopefully, you guys will have some input on this when I check back again during the
day, and I can get your thoughts on it. Normally, I would never buy a refurb *anything*, especially a PSU, but as I said, "if" I
can get some sort of an extended warrantee, I may. I think it would work well with my H100i since it has the fan control w/Corsair link.
Did some homework on the current PSU in this rig, and was not at all impressed. However, the last two have run without issue, one of which
(same specs as this psu..just a few years older) is still powering the Sabertooth machine just fine, and has been for the last 4 years.
Again, much thanks to you guys!

Here's the one I'm looking at.

That PSU is pretty good...reading around it seems pretty solid with some reservations about the quality of some components but a nice PSU.

However the refurb only comes with a 1 year warranty compared to the original 5 year that is something I would not do...

Personally, like Chino, I'd rather see you with something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151110

7 year warranty....great PSU and company...same $169 price as the RM was originally...
