I hear the Chargers are heart-breakers for their fans every year, much like college football's Arkansas Razorbacks--they almost take you to the top and then fail to climax. . ..

I remember the days when there was only one large console TV in the house and it sat on the floor, and whatever daddy was watching is what everyone else watched, too, and there were only 3.5 channels (PBS only counted as 'half-a-channel' because you only watched it when the U. S. President was making a speech and the other three channels interrupted scheduled programming just hear what he had to say--even though nobody was listening). I remember seeing Staubach and Bradshaw vie off against each other for Superbowls for a number of years. Dorsett and Newhouse versed Swann and Green--America's Team versed the Iron Curtain.

I am now (mostly) in the final stage hardlining my rig. I did my first bend ever with PETG tubing and it turned out quite well except I measured wrong for it. Then, when I worked out what I did wrong, I got so excited to bend again, I forgot to insert the silicone hose into the tubing to keep my next bend from collapsing in on itself. So I had to go at a third time . . . and it was a charm. It could have looked a 'little' better, but for my first installed bend ever, I am pretty proud of it.

(I remember being in a car showroom about 15 years ago where a 1978 Corvette Pace Car was there and this guy was scrutinizing every inch of it. He noticed me watching him and he said, "I am looking at all the beautiful imperfections. Back when this car was made, they didn't have all the exacting-machines they have today that make cars perfect right off the assembly line. To be able to see a car like this that was not perfectly-made is actually a real treat for me." Through the years since, I have thought about this every time I see an older car, and I have to admit, I kind of like those 'beautiful imperfections,' too, for they let you know it is humanmade.)

I am going with PrimoChill 1/2in (OD) Rigid PETG UV Pink/Red tubing and Rigid Revolver Compression Fitting 3/8" x 1/2" Straight Knurled - Anodized Purple fittings.

This is a case-shot of my first installed tube. The guy on the video said that after a couple of bends, a person gets used to it. I did those "couple of bends" on one tube (my actual first-tube was a good one, just the wrong measurement--the one you see here was measured right), and it is bit harder than it looks to put two 90-degree bends in one 240mm-long tube.

It may just be the angle, but this doesn't look square to me. Could be a leak point. ((Just a heads up hardliner))

I used the same PETG tubing (uv blue tho) and fittings. They are pretty awesome and forgiving.

It is PETG, not acrylic, so it is more forgiving and fine. It is in there really good and it is tight.

I do not think people realize how difficult it is to make a perfect S-bend with less than 240mm of PETG tubing. . ..

    I agree with chrsplmr

The end at the reservoir doesn't look 100% straight and could possibly leak.

It looks like the first bend at the pump is a little more than 45 degrees which in turn threw the second 45 bend at the reservoir off. It might not be a bad idea to redo that piece. It's not a big deal I would expect a piece or two to be off being it's your first build and doing petg tubing. I know I'd probably need to do a practice piece or two, I never worked with it.

I suppose you saw in some of the videos you watched the ends need to be smooth and maybe sanded after sawing/cutting it.

Not exactly sure how this stuff works, but with tubing .. a little heat .. and pressure up in the middle .. would move that top piece right to center. imho --- I find this very informative .. and curious how it all works .. lol .. always. .c.

The tubes themselves don't have to be perfectly straight as long as the end is relatively flush with the base of the nipple inside the fitting. And Hardliner is correct, I've seen experienced benders produce less than perfect bends. Unless you use a custom jig it's really difficult to do perfectly. Also, the more you bend a piece the weaker it becomes. It's way worse with acrylic but I don't think I'd overwork PETG either as long as it is mating well.
