Screw it, I have so many radiators that the cost of all the straight extension fittings and 90° and 45° rotary fittings to run all the long lines of PETG tubing were going to become twice as costly as flexible tubing, and also the squeeze is so tight between the bottom radiators that manipulating fittings and tubing would have brought out the holy-devil in me—Momma gets upset when she has to deal with the probable reality that her species is supposed to have more advanced telekinetic abilities that would easily take care of such tasks, but those kinds of abilities were likely 'cultured' out of us somehow in our distant past—and throw in the discouragement of some of you dudes razzing a girl about her work that she was initially rather proud of . . . that I just ordered all of this:

I started ordering this fricking, fracking, frucking build two months ago tomorrow—on Labor Day—and I am fricking, fracking, frucking ready to play Star Citizen which was my primary reason for starting this journey in the first place! I didn't mean to sound discouraging was just looking out for the possibility of a leak but since you got flex tubing, you'll see it's much easier and faster to work with.

You can still make it look good with flex tubing, the ball valve is a good way to do your drain.

I wanna PLAY Star Citizen!!!

The Alpha 2.0 patch is due any day now so I need to get this tubing delivered and fire things up.

I have some cool LED's, too: one 6" purple strip; one 12" purple strip; two pink 5mm; and a purple spotlight LED. They will be connected to a quad-splitter of peripheral ('molex') connectors that in-turn will be connected to a latching switch that I can turn off and on manually.

I feel . . . like exploring the stars (in SC) and leaving this particular timeline's world of war, poverty and disease.

That sounds cool, I want to see plenty of pics with all the lighting.

Is the spotlight for the flow meter? That might look cool too.

I never used the primochill advanced lrt tubing but I've read good things about it. CrazyDiamondFL was going to use that originally (uv pearl green) but I talked him into going with the uv acid green color, he wanted a color that was the most uv reactive. The yellow seems pretty good too.

I know you're not doing uv but here's a video if you care to see.



Yours should look good when it's done, I'm kind of anxious to see it completed, it's definitely going to have a feminine look with the pink lights.

The tubing is UV purple and so are the purple lights. The two 5mm pinks are replacing the one white 5mm in the reservoir. I am placing the white 5mm immediately behind the vaned flow meter and it will be connected to my last open fan header to remain on whenever the rig is running. The foot-long purple strip will be placed in the bottom of the case parallel and between the two rads, more towards the back side of the case so the light gives ambiance to the MOBO section. The 6" purple strip will be in the mostly-empty optical bay to act as cross-ambient lighting, shining through the pink-lit reservoir and across the MOBO section as well. The purple spotlight will be placed in the corner adjacent to the 140mm exhaust fan and its beam will be concentrated upon the blacked-out monoblock (spider body) and eight RAM sticks (8 spider legs).

With the intense dual-5mm pink LED's in the glass reservoir, and the purple lights everywhere else, it should look really cool . . . not feminine. Do not be brainwashed willingly. (Over a century ago in England, boys wore pink and girls wore blue . . . until it was found that boys were more aggressive when wearing the color pink, so they made them learn to self-identify with the color blue which kept them more calm. I learned this in a Developmental Psychology class in college.)

BTW- The S-bend was fine--I KNOW what I am doing with PETG tubing, thank you. What xeromist said about it was exactly right, blue-boy.

Ok so you did get uv lights then? If you did I'm liking it even more but the pink led's might interfere with the uv led's and lessen the uv effect.

But yeah you get your tubing and drain installed you should be close to firing her up.

Take your time and make it look good for us.

I am going to have sooo many tubes going everywhere that it is definitely going to look interesting, if not outright chaotic. I think the pink will be a nice contrast interspersed with the UV purple--the glowing tube within the glass reservoir will be like a pink lantern within purple midnight. . ..

I appreciate you helping me start this journey, Nate, and I am glad you are here to see it completed.

I can't seem to find that post or recall a member @blue-boy.
I to have found for years that you can always rely on @xeromist's advice as spot on,
although without the luxury of x-ray vision, as supergirl of course would, one would have
to rely on the naked eye assuming of course that the tubing was cut square in the first place.
If it were and the angle perceived by the naked were correct then there is no way that the
tubing could be flush within the coupling. If so, in time, this WILL be a problem. imho.
I meant, of course, no disrespect, as I am sure neither did @blue-boy, in your expertise in
using this type of tubing since you have had one attempted bending and the one that you are using.
I am only interested in all ROG, ROGs and Gear performing @ their collective peaks here. I do not see
how taking shots at members, people's beliefs, origins, politics or even sexual orientations has a place here, oh yeah,
that's right, it does not, This is ROG. .c.
