Availability of TPM module compatible with ASUS Z170 Deluxe motherboard?

Anyone know an ETA when ASUS may release a TPM module that is compatible with the ASUS Z170 Deluxe motherboard?

The only ASUS TPM module on the ASUS estore site and on Amazon is this one -

Asus Accessory TPM FW3.19 TPM Module BitLocker FW3.19 for Asus MB Retail

But that needs a 19 pin (20-1) header and the Z170 Deluxe has a 13 pin (14-1) pin TPM module header.

If you simply search amazon, you find lots of them. Here is a link to some I have used on various ASUS boards. ASUS TPM's are not motherboard specific. They are connector specific. meaning, if your board has the connector, they are compatible.

I too have the same question -- as the OP mentions ASUS TPM modules readily available on Amazon are 20 pin, not 14 pin like the Z170s need. I made the mistake of buying one as they appeared universal (this is my first mobo which supports one.) I can confirm this module is far too big to attempt installation.

I don't see any with 14-1 pins ...

MSI - Micro Star 914-4136-103 seems to fit, but in the the reviews it's written that this module is not compatible with Asus Z170 Deluxe.

I do not see anyone selling an ASUS 14-pin TPM Module anywhere, just 20-pin. I called ASuS that was useless. They know nothing. Totally useless calling ASuS. They couldn't even tell me who is selling it.

Hmm I don't know any specifics that will help but maybe research into the TPM component itself? You say its a 14+1 and Asus knows nothing about it. They must have purchased the components or acquired the rights to use that part from someone. I doubt that designed it themselves. Maybe its just a rename of another manufacturers TPM and that TPM manufacturer will know where to find compatible components?

Took a lot of Googling as the module was not available on NewEgg and Amazon. Found the Asus 14+1 PIN TPM Module on MacMall and PCConnection:

ASUS 14-1 PIN TPM MOD (TPM-M)
MacMall: http://www.macmall.com/p/ASUS-Drive-Cases-And-System-Enclosures/product~dpno~13694725~pdp.jheghie

PCConnection: http://www.pcconnection.com/product/asus-14-1-pin-tpm-module/tpm-m/30865785?cac=Result

ASUS 14-1 PIN TPM MOD (TPM-M R2.0)
MacMall: http://www.macmall.com/p/ASUS-Switches-/-Hubs/product~dpno~13841847~pdp.baaiddca

TPM v2.0 is really the one to get, whenever it becomes available (spring/summer 2016)

The TPM header seems to be very well hidden and absent in the documentation for the Maximus VIII Formula mobo. Since this is currently ASUS' most expensive and highest end ROG ATX mobo I assume it's there SOMEWHERE.....

Any hints?

Anyone actually running bitlocker (or any other encryption product) on Maximus VIII iron?

Not sure where you're located, but I found it very difficult to procure a TPM in Canada. It's not at all illegal or restricted, but since it is a piece of "cryptosecurity technology" it is flagged at the borders and inspected and delayed and a bit troublesome to order/import. It's also a very low-demand niche item, so people don't bother to actually stock them unless they're forced to purchase (and use) bulk lots. They're listed on newegg and amazon and in the inventories for local computer shops, but seem to invariably be "out of stock". I had to go outside normal consumer channels to obtain one.

2018/05/07 >> Today, I received a Windows Defender Security Center Notification that my TPM is in need of a firmware upgrade.
I have the ASUS 90MC03W0-M0XBN - TPM-M R2.0 TPM 14-PIN
The link provided, takes me to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4096377/windows-10-update-security-processor-tpm-firmware#f...
At that page, there is a list of manufacturers where the TPM firmware upgrade can be obtained from; based on the device manufacturer.
These manufacturers include Acer, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, Panasonic, Toshiba but NOT Asus.
IMPORTANT: "Before clearing your TPM, be sure to back up your data. Do not clear the TPM on a device you do not own, such as a work or school PC, without being instructed to do so by your IT administrator."

I sure could use some assistance with this matter but I am not about to hold my breath waiting for Asus to provide it to me. As my interaction with them and their RMA service department (for my ailing Z170 Deluxe MoBo ) for "No POST upon Cold Boot" took my system down for over 3 weeks and the returned/serviced MoBo is still experiencing the same problem when using the rear USB ports, that is the culprit of the problem.
