    1440@144hz vs CPU

I recently switched from 1440@60hz (PB278Q) to 1440@144hz (MG279Q) and my cpu temps rose about 5C idle / 10C load. I changed nothing else so I'm curious if this is normal?

lots of people find 144Hz does not let their GPU idle and dumps a lot more heat into the case....maybe this extra heat is affecting CPU as well as a higher load on CPU?

10 degree higher load sounds more than I would expect if it was simply the 144Hz being extra load on CPU itself. Hence suspicion that GPU load and heat are affecting?

How is your cooling set up....is your GPU downclocking at idle?

Thanks Arne! I didn't stay at it long enough to pinpoint the cause but I put a Swiftech H220-X in so all should be OK now.
