Hi, I did this to my JX so you can, but there are some consideration to take, check this:

Where can I source the parts and does it require soldering or just swapping the parts.

For the VGA card itself you can search on eBay, and for everything else you can use this site asusparts.eu

Are you saying you CAN upgrade the G750JX from a 770m to an 780m GPU? And you've DONE this?

Can you take pictures and show us?

The 780m model has a thicker laptop body for cooling and heat sink parts. Are you overheating at all? The card actually fit inside and your Motherbord accepts it?
