BIOS Update.......Fail

I have a Hero VII and decided to upgrade my Bios, Mistake #1
All went well except on the second reboot when I got a message "can not find BOOTMGR" and I could not get any further, Windows would not load.

OK, I decide to use EZ update via memory stick and using the USP port on the back of the computer. Mistake #2

That did nothing too, Same message and no Windows

I can get to the Bios screen and make adjustments other than that I'm screwed.

What can I do to get my Bios in working order?

Hello Chefmark

Welcome to the ROG forum.

Try updating the bios following this guide, rename the bios file to M7H.CAP

That worked, Thanx!!!!!!

I moved from a Max VII Gene to a Max Vii Hero over the weekend and after trying to start with a fresh OS on a NEW ssd I was getting the same "can not find BOOTMGR" message. I used the "CMOS" button on the Hero and it went well enough after that. Not the same cause or fix but another solution to a similar symptom.

Hello

Set both the CSM and boot order entries to what they were before the UEFI update.
