The JT is the more powerful of the two.
The top CPU choice (i7-4720HQ) on the JL is *slightly* better but the JT's (i7-4710HQ) but the real difference is in the GPU.
The JT's 970m is MUCH better than the JL's 965m.

Also, the JT is a bit thicker and weights more but conversely has better cooling.
You can also get it with G-SYNC, which the JL model does not support.

There's not really much more that anyone can add to what Edweird said, but it should be pointed out that the mid-to-higher-end variants of the JT do also come with the i7-4720HQ, so there's absolutely no advantages to getting a JL over a JT, unless weight is a deciding factor.

Well, yeah. It depends what model you get. If you get a newer JT, especially if it's a G-SYNC one, it's gonna have the 4720.

Cost.

Given the choice personally Id take the JL. While the GTX 970M is better than the 965 its not that much better. Check out the performance comparison HERE

IMO there are two choices in the G751 and JT isnt one of them.

JL $1200
JT with G-SYNC $1900
JY with G-SYNC $2100

If Im going to jump $700 may as well go $900 instead and get the 4720 with a GTX 9800M

It's all fine saying that if you've just got an extra $200 (or more, depending on regional variations in price) just floating around ready to spend, but most of us have to stick to a budget.

Of course we'd all like the JY - I know I would've, but it was an extra £400 (that's about $610 USD) for the JY over the JT when I bought my one, which is a very significant price difference that I just couldn't afford.

gtx970m is 25% faster than gtx965m
I would prefer JT Because its not that much pricey than the JL One Although JL is great on its own.

You do not have to buy the G-Syn version.

JT Costs 1400-1500$.
I am not sure of the G-Syn version tho.

JT seems to be sold out here in UK
Mine has 4720HQ but don't think it has G-Sync
