Mic issues in Skype & ethernet cable issues.

Hello. I own 2 G551JM laptops. After I updated my laptop to Windows 10, my microphone is too quiet in Skype. I downgraded my drivers to those that I used with windows 8.1, because the default driver from windows 10 is not working either, and it`s even worst. Also, on my working laptop, I have issues with the internet when I'm connected through cable. Anyone have any idea what can I do? Thanks.

Clean install after the upgrade. Upgrades can always have impacts on current drivers.

I updated from windows 7, which was clean installed right before the update, so no drivers or software was installed before the update.

Different versions of windows will affect your drivers clean install whatever windows your using now. A windows 7 driver will not always work with windows 10

I'm having the same issue with the ethernet cable. It's like it works fine for a while but gets interrupted after a while with the yellow ! sign, it's pretty annoying. Wifi works just fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked your router/modem logs. More often then not its a modem/router issue if your using ethernet and having a problem. Uninstall and upgrade your lan driver aswell.

Not 100% sure yet that it's fixed but it seems to be working fine now. I reverted back to a 2014 driver and then I think the problem was all the power saving options that w10 has which can be found under power management in properties for your ethernet AND under the advance tab also under properties for your ethernet. I think all together they are 3 or 4 options that you have to modify. If I don't come back here with an update it's because it kept working just fine.
