GTX 980 Upgrade, Does blower or open air design matter? Should I cancel my order?

I made an order for an EVGA gtx980 acx

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...875.1445675381

It is an open air cooling non reference card. Does the g20aj require a reference card with a blower design?
Does this even fit? I believe the dimensions of the stock gpu is 10.5" by ~4.3"?

Sorry if this is a bad question.

And to answer your question, that is not the correct model to use. Non reference models are both
    1) Too big for the case and
    2) exhaust heat internally, which WONT GO ANYWHERE causing overheating

You need a ref model (I think nvidia brand and PNY, not sure who else does)

Thanks for the information. I thought so. Near impossible to find a NVIDIA reference 980 now. Never played with PNY parts before. Thanks again man!
