    My specs:
Intel Core i7-6700K (OC to 4.5 GHz)
    Kingston HyperX 2x8GB DDR4 3000MHz (OC to 2800MHz)
    Running Windows 10x64

I had issues with my system stability after I installed Asus AI Suite. My system used to freeze and I had strange sound clipping. Even such devices as my keyboard had lag and didn't work as expected.

After some time spent on troubleshooting I have found out what caused these issues. It was [Mobo Connect] and [Push Notice] components of AI Suite. I found other components very useful and working fine on my machine. So, after removing those two my system worked perfectly.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello,
I had the same issue, freeze of my PC when the CPU is idle or almost idle : under the windows desktop (no active applications), during video streaming ...

As far as I remember, the problem appears after the installation of a new BIOS and/or an updated AISuite and drivers, but I cannot be sure about that ... what is sure is that my PC worked well before with an OC at 4.7Ghz and XMP profile for 3000Mhz ddr4, and then once the problem appeared, I had no other way to make the system stable than doing some CPU workload even when not needed (letting a game working in background for instance).

I tried almost everything explained here and on other forums, and finally, before thinking about replacing/changing hardware, or perhaps as suggested here or on other forums to ask for the i7-6700k replacement for a new one, I reinstalled Windows 10 from scratch…..and now, after this reinstall, all is working well again, no more freeze, I'm still using the same OC, same XMP profile, same motherboard bios (v 1601). I didn't reinstall AI Suite, only the needed driver, and I don’t want to install it to check whether or not it could be the origin of my problems (and I don’t need it finally).

Remove all your memory sticks and leave one alone. If you still get freezes then cycle through all the sticks. I'm betting it's a dud memory stick.

Everyone that's still having these freezing issues, like some mentioned it was caused by a combination of AI Suite 3 and GPU Tweak II. The latest AI Suite version will fix the freezing issue, please read Asus-OP's post.
