So beautiful...Thank you for sharing...Is this your first case mod?...just curious as i wanted to build one myself...but everything from plexiglas(see through) except for the tray that the motherboard sits and the back where the io panel resides...anyway...it was more expensive than buying a case...

DVD thanks for checking out my Build, this is about my fourth build. the first two were kind of training. On the third The Metallica Build all the stars aligned for me and it got very popular, I certainly don't take all the credit for that, Friends, Hero's all the people like you and Sponsors made it happen. I did find I was able to do better work than I Imagined - Who Knew -Not Me. I do all my work with hand tools, No CNC work. I usually buy a few premade items from my Hero's like Mnpctech. We have to keep those type of people in business, they make Modding so much better. Google The Metallica Build, Check it out on this forum or the mod zoo under most viewed it is easy to find there.

Most mods will cost more than just buying a case and most times an unmodded case is easier to work with BUT those case's were built for the masses, there is nothing like building something that is your vision of what the perfect PC should be! It's so much easier when you have a working Rig and just start working on another case, and when It's ready just move everything over to the Modded case or but current gear.

Silent Shadow thanks a lot and I appreciate you passing my mods around, it is an honor and great feeling seeing other enthusiasts enjoy your work! I'll check you out on FB now that you have friended me. I'll see if I can't finish up this log this weeked, I kind of got side tracked this week.

I've always hated the way the I O area of motherboards look, that's why more and more of the new boards are covering them too. I fabricated a cover using alternating pieces of Aluminum and the red Acrylic I keep trying so desperately to use.

I cut the Acrylic slightly higher than the metal so I could back light it. Minor details like this
are there more to hide ugly areas of the build. They are never anything that you go wow
look at that, but the trim up of things help the overall quality of the build.

As I mentioned I like to add a few items from companies that have supported me in the past.
In this case I used a fan grill from Mayhems along with their Red Pastel fluid. Because I wanted
to hide exterior bolts I had to pin the bolts from the outside so the fans could be replaced if
needed. I spent an embarrassing amount of time fiddling with the top piece i used to hide the
top edges of the fans. I had problems keeping the repetitive angles in line with the 1/4" Aluminum
plate. This is never a problem on thin material, but becomes a battle on thicker pieces.

I won this Asus GTX 770 DC in the Asus go for the gold contest and I hadn't
had a place to use it until now, but it was looking a little bland inside this
case. I started with some pieces of brass tube I had and attached a do dad
to the center hub of the fan. Some people think putting weight on a spinning
fan would effect it's performances, but I have done this before and never
had any issues. In the end I added two metal strips, because I still wasn't
    happy with the look.

I always have to stop myself from continuing to keep Modding things.
There is always more that could be done, but my builds are busy enough
as it is so I guess I can call this done - I think? Final Pic's Incoming

Everyone Always says - ( I can't wait to see this when It's done ) I truly enjoy the process of Modding and they become a journey as you progress thru the build. My Metallica Build had major sponsors - Corsair, EKWB, Mnpctech and Mayhems and it would of never happened without their support, but because I hand build most everything I am admittedly slow to complete Builds. On this case I chose to go it on my own so I didn't have the pressure to complete in a timely manner. I'm currently trying to get another Magazine cover and if Asus wants to step up with a pretty high end card It's not to late hint , hint ha ha so here is the beauty shots.

Thanks guys! Ohh Now what do I do? the problem with wrapping up a project is figuring out what's next? The best thing is I seem to accumulate more tools and extra parts after each build. Thanks for checking in.
