IRST 14.5 = Freeze?

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if this happens to everyone or just me.
There are 2 rigs in my house, one is 4790K+M7F+Plextor M6Pro and another one if 4790K+M7H+2x Corsair Neutron GTX in Raid 0.

I've tried on both PC that once IRST 14.5 is installed the PC freezes. Tried in both Win 8.1 and Win 10 (both 64bit)
Since the first PC is only in AHCI mode, I don't think it's due to RAID.

I have to install IRST 13.x instead.

Has anyone got the same situation?

Btw, all drivers are downloaded from Asus's official Support page.

Thanks in advance!

Hello luzhanyi

If you didn't install windows in raid mode you don't need the IRST driver.

Hi, thanks for replying.
I noticed that even it's small, there could be some differences in performance with/without IRST.
And still, I am installing windows in RAID mode

If the older IRST driver is working for you, you could use that.

You could also try disconnecting the caviar black and the WD green drives to see if the freezing stops.

No, it's doing fine with 13.2 or 13.5.
I'm okay with it now, just wondering if this is common or only on me

Had the freezing issue with 14.xx series RST on RAID0 as well. The beta 14.0.0.1081 works fine.
