Hello guys , I'm here to ask you a big favor , help me to overclock .

I write my configuration

Motherboard : Asus Maximus VI Hero C2
Processor : i7 4790k
Ram : 16GB DDR3 2666Mhz Gskill GSkill - 12 2x8GB 16GTXD Tested Latency 12-13-13-35-2t - Tested Voltage 1.65V - Speed 1333MHz SPD - SPD Voltage 1.50V

cooling:
-WB EK - Supremacy Clean CSQ - Plexy - Nikel
-Radiator Alphacool UT60 360mm full copper
- 3 Fan Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition at 1400rpm
- Laing pump DCC - 1RT 12V 2xG1 / 4 external thread and TOP EK - DDC X - TOP CSQ -Acetal

Temperatures remain idle 25/26/27 at 4.0GHz stock .

Can you tell me what should I set not taking anything for granted .

Thank you in advance anyone who wants to help me and dedicate the precious time .

This setting I copied from other discussions and I have to finish the stress test

Hello Nexuno

Follow these instructions I gave for grizzlytamer 68, you have very good temps and I see you possibly doing 4.9GHz.

https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?76738-new-to-intel&p=538085#post538085

Let me know what you end up with and what temps are. 🙂

I'll try to do as you suggest, but increase and decrease only the Core Voltage is not limiting? There are many values that help keep the system stable.

There are alot of settings to play with in the bios but most you can let on auto.

You can change these settings if you want.

Extreme Tweaking - Enabled
BCLK Recovery - Enabled

DIGI+

Load Line Calibration - medium (4or5)
CPU current capability 140% - 150%

Is your ram stable with XMP enabled? If it is you can let it in XMP mode to do your overclocking or you can run it in manual mode and set your ram manually, the choice is yours.

Set the cpu cache ratio/voltage to auto, you will get the most performance increase by overclocking the cores as far as temps will allow.

Good luck with 4.9GHz, if you have any questions along the way feel free to ask.
