    Asus G46V camera not working

We have a G46V laptop and we've installed Skype yesterday and the name of the camera shows up but it doesn't work.

This laptop came with windows 8.0 and has been upgraded to 8.1 in the past.

I look in the device manager but there is no category named imaging devices listed and expanding all categories I don't see the camera listed anywhere.

I searched google and the asus site to try to find if maybe I need some drivers but none show up (that we could find on the asus site) for the camera for either Win 8 or 7.

    Any help would be appreciated.

On my G55VW the camera can be disabled in the bios. Maybe take a look in there? Think it was under USB devices, but it's been ages.
    Asus ROG G55VW:
    CPU: i7 3630QM
GFX: Geforce GTX660M with 2GB ram
RAM: 2x8Gb 2133MHz Kingston HyperX Impact (surprisingly the G55VW uses the 2133 X.M.P. profile)
Storage: RAID0 with 2x 256Gb Crucial SSDs (both msata, one in a sata adapter)
    OS: Windows 10 x64
