They're called sleeves. Not sure where ones that fit us are sold though.

I picked up one of these when I bought my second AC adaptor:
http://us.estore.asus.com/index.php?...t_detail&p=894
It works just fine, although theres no room for books or other thick things while the notebook is in it. But plenty of room for my accessories (adaptor and cord, extra battery, travel mouse, wallet size external USB hard drive, a few spare USB keys, extra network and DSUB video cables, etc), plus some papers and thin binders/clipboards. The padding is tremendous.

Fostert, that backpack looks in the style and price range that I'd like.
It's not a tight squeeze to get the notebook into it is it? I just don't want to buy something that I have to constantly fight with to get the notebook inside of it.
Thanks

Everki Beacon Laptop Backpack with Gaming Console Sleeve, Fits up to 18-Inch (EKP117NBKCT)
I Love this pack I bought it a year ago it is strong and very durable. At first it was a snug fit but it but it broke in very nicely it has plenty of room for every thing you need. When I was looking for a bag I did not want to spend more then $75.00 but I pulled the trigger on this one at $125.00 I think now it is $105.00 and I'll never look back. I hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks folks.
I had the opportunity to go into a Frys about 125 miles from home and picked up the "Inland Pro Notebook case", fits notebooks up to 17.3 and the g74 fits perfectly in the area for the notebook. Has enough space in the rest of the case to fit some file folders, mouse and the power brick.
Was only $29.99 on sale. It's a bit traditional for my tastes but it was impossible to pass up at 30.00 It even has an ipod pocket on the front flap.

Very cool. Is it a standard laptop case or backpack? I had a fun time finding a backpack for my G53SX. I ended up having to buy a 17" laptop backpack to properly fit it (SwissGear 17" IBEX).

Need a bag to hold the G74sx
I suggest you go for the Victorinox Altmont backpack (http://www.monsterbags.com/victorinox.html) as its padded sleeve can fit in a 17 inch laptop. It also has an interior which can hold a 10 inch iPod or netbook. A friend bought one recently and found it has a rugged construction.
