How to get G750JW Fn keys and Phone Quick Charge working on Windows 10? - solved

Hi,

I was messing around with my G750JW today, not had much time to play since upgrading to Windows 10 since I now have a little baby girl.

Anyway I was trying to turn wifi off using the function button and it wouldn't work but turning the keyboard back light brightness up and down did.

So to resolve I thought I'd download and install the Win8.1 ATK package that includes functions but its still the same.

2nd issue is the quick charge, in Win7 when plugging my phone charger in it used to pop up that quick charge was in use and my phone used to charge really quick. Now (it could be my imagination) but it feels like it takes much longer than it used to.

So again I downloaded and installed the Win8 quick charge driver and rebooted as requested but this stopped all USB ports from working.

I uninstalled with Revo and after a reboot all USB ports started working again.

Anyone got any ideas how to get Fn working and also quick charge?

yea i got all that problem from win 10 update too.

if someone fix it, please share with us.

Hi,

If you haven't tried the Win10 ATK driver Version V1.0.0039 posted on the ASUS G750JW download site, you may want to give this a try for the Fn key issue.

Below is the G750JW download link from our global site, but you should be able to see the same drivers on your local region website page.

http://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-G750JW/HelpDesk_Download/


If you go to the global site and want to look around more for products, you may also want to switch back to your local website region website since the global website may list product models not available in your region (the bottom left-hand corner of the page should show the website region which you can click on to change).

Hi Albert,

Thanks for the help, I'm certain this is the ATK package I'm now running but still some of the Fn keys don't work such as wifi on/off.

Any ideas on the quick charge issue?

I have the G750JW as well. Here's how I solved these problems you are asking about. Let me know if you need anything else. Cheers!
For the ATK package, get the Win10 version here (select Windows 10, it's under ATK, v1.0.0039): http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/ROG-G750JW/HelpDesk_Download/
For the WiFi control, go to the option for Win8.1 and it's the 4th one under Wireless, v1.0.0.3
For the USB charger plus, go here: http://www.asus.com/support/Download/3/778/0/2/45/
It's under utilities, the very last one, v4.1.6

Glad to help. Maybe they can sticky this for people having this issue... I'm pretty sure this is affecting everyone with quick charge capabilities.
