Please connect the ROG Front Base for firmware and software installation or update

It was working fine earlier but I tried to update the firmware to V47 and the display on it froze.

I turned the pc off and the display on the Front base panel went blank.

When I try to upgrade the Firmware it says Front base is not connected, and when i try to install the driver it says "Please connect the ROG Front Base for firmware and software installation or update".

any help would be appreciated.

Same thing happened with mine on windows 8.1 x64.
I formated back to windows 7 x64 and was able to update the firmware again.
The firmware update tool didn't work for win8.1 x64, hence why it freeze.

The latest firmware tool also works on windows 10 x64.
