Hello people!

Straight to the point, i found out that running my ram DDR4-3000 (15-15-15-35-2T) yielded less performance than running it DDR4-2750 (14-14-14-34-1T). First is it normal ? Second, could people post screenshots of their "Memory and Cache Benchmark" in aida64 for the sake of comparison ?

Thank you,

Yes. Don't get too carried away with the MHz. Timings makes a big difference.

Hey,

If i would've known that to begin with... Still, could some of you guys printscreen a bench so i can compare ? Also, is double sided ram supposed to perform better than a single sided one ? e.g would a DDR4-3000MHZ 4X8GB perform better than a DDR4-3000 4X4GB ?

thanks chino,

Max

These are some results from overlclockers.net 5820K 4.2GHz 2400MHz DDR4 C12 latency...

http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php/750439-DDR3-4930K-vs-DDR4-5820K-comparison

Because of that I didn't go over 16GB now. I will invest in 32GB when 8x4GB 3000MHz kit with C10, C11 become affordable.
That would be real DDR4, not 18 latency.
Even 3000MHz 9-10-9 example... Than memory will be 6-7% faster than 3000-3200MHz kits now.
Now people shouldn't pay over 2800MHz 1.200V. That's waste of money.
Difference between 2800MHz and 3200MHz could cost as difference from GTX970 and GTX980.

Hey,

Thank you for that result, although, i am looking for ddr4-3000mhz aida benchs. And i'd like those benchs from people that i can "trust", hence why i asked on this forum. I know i can find results over other websites but sometimes people post stuff and don't even explain what it is or how they did it. So still waiting fellas :).

Jesus you pump up Cache Core higher than CPU... That increase lot memory result more than frequency or timmings..
You should OC and CPU on 4.0GHz....
That's Crucial Balistix Elite 2666 kit? Single side or double sided?

Hey,

Wow... Damnn something must be wrong with my system them. Could it be that double sided ram (32gb "4x8" kits) perform better than single sided (16gb "4x4gb) kits ? This shouldn't be lol. I'm so pissed for not knowing this before and spending loads on a 3000 kit when i could've gotten better/more for less.

It is impossible to compare any AIDA memory results unless the system is at stock or you choose the same cache multiplier etc. and same CPU and ram frequency...

Cache OC has a huge impact
