    Asus G752VL upgrades

Ok so a week ago I got the asus g752vl from best buy. I like the laptop but there are some area's I want to upgrade. Two of the areas are pretty simple I know (adding an SSD and going from 12gbs ram to 32gbs of ram) the one I'm not sure about is the graphics card. I have the gtx 965m w/2gbs of ddr5 and I'm wanting to go to at least the gtx 980m w/ 4gbs of ram and would really want 6gbs of ram. Is it possible and if so what kind of headache am I looking at

Not possible, CPU/GPU upgrades can't be done on these machines, the components are soldered to the motherboard. Also, the cooling meant for a 965M would be insufficient for a 980M.

My advice, return your machine and trade up for a G752VY.

Your two memory options on the 980M are either 4 or 8GB VRAM.
    3 or 6GB is for the 970M.
