I'm thinking about picking up a m2 sdd for my Asus G751jt. Samsung 950 Pro M.2 .

I wanted to check that this drive would work properly. Will this drive work without problem as a boot drive? Will I be able to get the full read/write speeds?

Not currently it has boot issues. Next time search before you create a thread this has been asken and answered numerous times even in stickied threads at the top.
3d printed parts and accessories for the G751. You know you want something better than OEM ->https://www.shapeways.com/shops/aeolisio[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Thanks for letting me know. I think I'll go for just a regular ssd then.

As for my thread, I haven't used rog forums before, and from my search and reading some of the m2 threads, I couldn't find another thread that directly answered about compatibility for the m.2 I specified.

yes you can get a X941M.2 PCIe 2x, still about twice as fast a SATA SSD many of these notebooks came with these pre installed

Right at the top the stickied thread called g751jy Pcie ssd questions
But i have also answered that same question in 4 other threads.
The sm951 works well as long as you purchase the AHCI and its much faster then the xp941 and tested faster still then the 950 when it did boot so far.
