Here is a comparison over the different G51 Series thermal differences. i think many of you might think we used the same thermal design, but we have actually improved it in every update.

G51Vx - Single heatpipe design covering the northbridge and cpu

G51J- Dual heat pipe for the cpu,

G51Jx- has an additioanl heatsink over the GPU

Thanks for the pictures and follow up information! I didnt know each revision had significant changes to the cooling system.

Is it useful to use a Notebook cooler? Witch one is recommended?

I Recommend the Antec notebook coolers, depending on your notebook size this one may work for you:

are those different fan/heatsink units interchangeable? specifically, if i bought one for a JX model do you think it would work on my VX model?
