G74Sx 3D shipped without glasses?

Hi!

I bought a G74Sx around 2-3 month ago, because i needed a portable (lol, yes i know 🙂 ...) desktop replacement. I asked the retailer if it got 3D with, wich say yes.
So i bought it for 1799,00 € and was happy, because the last time i checked the price was around 2000 on other local stores.

At home, i did wonder why there are no glasses with it, but i didn't care that much because i was the following weeks short on time and had no 3D BD-R at home.
Now with x-mas coming and 3D movies become more popular i want to give it a shot, did some research through the internets (and this forums). I didn't get a really clear answer.

First, there was this guy who bought a g74 without 3D, not knowing it. Then i found an article about the g74 3D and G54sw Naked Eye 3D ( http://www.notebookcheck.com/Asus-stellt-Gamer-Notebooks-ROG-G74Sx-3D-und-G53SX-Naked-Eye-3D-aus.547... - it's german) through google using the keywords exact same like this topic - but as said, not very clear if it's shipped without glasses, I only can read from that, that you don't need glasses for the G53 (obviously).

I do have a 3D Vision IR Port (left next to the webcam).

Please help me with that mystery.
Did i bought a notebook without 3D, or did i get ripped of (because the glasses were in an extra box)?

Thanks in advance, and please don't judge my grammar/spelling as i am not a native speaker.

If your display can do 120 Hz refresh rate you have a 3d capable notebook.
Read the User's Manual for more info. 😄

I'm puzzled.

You said you have an IR receptor just on the left of camera, but the maximum refresh rate is 60 Hz.

Does your IR receptor have a chrome-colored 3D cube logo on it? (mine has it)

And have you checked under Nvidia Control Panel>Display>Change Resolution if there are multiple choices for Refresh Rates?
The minimum should be 60 Hz and maximum of 120 Hz.

How about enabling 3D vision and testing it? It might really give you an idea if yours is indeed 3D capable or not..

You sure there's an IR receptor in there?

You can still watch 3d through HDMI and an external 3d monitor...

A LOT of people made the same mistake.

Yep, according to the picture from the manual and out of the web, it is one. The bar looks exactly the same, and the dot is light grey like around the webcam or the camera indicator.

There's no 120 Hz option?
