This would be better than the H60.

Provided it will fit. That CPU needs big air cooling or a double rad all in one water cooler. It simply puts out too much heat for anything less.
    Chris...Have a nice day.

    Hi all!

I thought that I'd take the time to update all the kind people who offered their knowledge to me on this issue.

The PC is now fixed and back with it's owner (thank goodness)
The basic issue was multi-fold. The guy who tried to build this PC to start with had no clue what he was doing and bought mostly the wrong parts.
The big issue was the beast of a cpu. I had to replace the mobo and PSU but in order to control the temp I had to fit a Corsair H100i GTX, which then would not fit in to the case...... So a new case and a lot of cursing (windows 7 repair doesn't work if the guy has already upgraded it to Windows 10) and formatting of the SSD and all is well....
Thank you for the help and support!

    Amen to that

As for the PCI-E power connector (Molex 4 pin, IIRC) it didnt really seem to make a difference when I had 2 290s in there, but if you can run a power cord over there without majorly hindering airflow, it couldnt hurt.
I have always wondered how they think we are supposed to reasonably plug a single and probably single purpose MOLEX in the middle of and in the back of the motherboard, just above our video cards and beside our CPU...LOL and "REASONABLE" by- the- way, to system builder and gamer, wildly differ and has the novice scratching his head in confusion and the expert daydreaming about a sledgehammer and a melon. But I digress, I love ASUS and even though they are BONEHEADS some of the time, most of the time they usually get it right, remove such nuisances and yield to better design.
