Questions about ASUS Strix Tactic Pro Keyboard

After unistalled completely the Strix software and performed a registry cleaning with CCleaner, I re-installed the Strix software and at first finally the macro keys started to working again, but, after shutting down the computer and then booted up macro keys don't work anymore...

That's very strange, I'll have to pull out the this keyboard and test it myself but from what I remember the Macros were working fine for me. Please make sure you've saved settings on a profile and not the default profile which doesn't save settings.

Hi Bahz, I tried all different scenarios:
- reset, clean install, profile with hardware mode and different profiles customized;
- reset, clean install, profile with software mode and different profiles customized;
None of these worked out.

As always I do thank you anyway for your help. I just gave up and since it was my birthday on 7th it was gifted me a new keyboard.

I'm thinking this may be an issue with the keyboard directly then. Do you know when the person that gifted you this keyboard purchased this? It's been quite a few years since this keyboard was released and if I remember correctly it should already be EOL in some countries. If it's under warranty then you should send it back for replacement. The first sample I got had the same problem and it was an IC issue on the keyboard.

Apologize, I expressed myself wrong. On 7th of this month it was gifted me a new keyboard (Corsair K95), so basically the Strix Tactic Pro now stand in my mother's pc office (she doesn't need the macros anyway). I bought Strix Tactic Pro 3 and half years ago so it's out of warranty, she served me well by I never been able to use macros properly.
The shop (an official Asus store in Bologna) where I bought it is out of business and back then they told me that it was enough to download the newest firmware to fix the keyboard.

Now that you mentioned tour own problem with your first sample I'm a bit relieved, at least I'm not the only one had this issue.

I see, thanks for clarifying this. At least it's still being put to good use, sorry that you weren't able to get the complete experience for this product. I wished I would have helped you sooner to get you a properly working unit.

latest driver update has killed the keyboard lights. (strix logo is still on but very very dull) all macro lights caps lock and num lock all work no problems.

keyboard is un-usable in slightly dark room.

You should try to delete and reset all the website profiles. Also maybe try uninstalling software then use CC Cleaner to clean the registry before reinstalling.
