1.500€ Budget Build Advice

Greetings ROG Members. I know someone that is low on budget, but still, wants to run at least some up to date games.
So I made him a ATX / 1150 Socket build, but am unsure of it.

He wants the build also to be as much quiet as possible without affecting the performance. Please share me your thought's and feel free to give suggetions. The price range can be slightly over 1,500€, still only purchased from this website. https://www.alternate.de/Hardware

So without further talk I leave the build, and every component since I may be forgetting cables or such.

My serious advice...

ASUS Z170-A arround 150
Intel 6700 non K 4.0GHz around 350
GSkill 2400 2x8 DDR4 arround 90
-fan controller is not necessary
-DVD-RW is not necessary
-Thermal paste you get with some coolers...
CPU Cooler Noctua NH-U9S or NH-U9B, something under 50, or Hyper 212 only to save on all side because CPU/Memory/GPU...

With little tricks I would build Skylake i7 and GTX980 for that money, but it will be excellent and 970.
Case up to 100 with fan inside for first time, most important are components first later for fans.
CoolerMaster CaseMaster 5 or Obsidian 450D or something with fans inside only to save.

ASRock show up with BIOS for overclocking non K Skylake CPU, motherboard as Z170 Extreme 4 150 or cheaper could probably increase clock of 6700 on some 4.2-4.4GHz...That would be awesome trick, because there are and cheaper models.
And other companies will follow that or lose profit.

I seriously advice you to change on Z170 platform and save money on explained place and you will be thankful for few mounths.

Thanks for the hints, but do you think the PSU is going to be able to handle everything? I kinda feel noob asking this but how do you install a OS without a DVD reader or a bootable pendrive?

psu, up it to a 750W
the USB drive is bootable, just set the boot option to the USB inside bios.
only connect the drive where win is going to be on and put the usb dongle in to a usb on the back side ( USB 2.0 ) and go in to bios and change boot to USB and reboot and poff.

and after instaled go in to bios and change boot to the drive you instaled win on.

then connect rest og the drives and its good to go.

a tip.
before having all the parts in to the case, mount the CPU + cooler and GPU and ram to the motherboard ( place motherboard on the box it came whit ) connect power and boot up ( you can install windows this way too ).
and DO remember to use antistatic wristband!!!!!!!!!!!

I immediately recognize that PSU is not good but I couldn't say nothing because budget you say.
You need to find something good under 100 around 650W 50A single rail.
I think you will not find cheaper than EVGA 650 GS and 650 G2 and same quality.
They are in range 150-160 euro models, G2 even better than others. Ideal would be 750W models as

Seasonic X series 750 Gold
CORSAIR AX760
EVGA 750 G2

But for your configuration at the moment with i7 and 970 600W is enough if you pay some of these brands.
I would go on higher if possible but 600-650W will serve you well. GTX970 need 170-180W, little overclocked or not i7-6770 around 100W.
Everything could fit under 500-550 but it's better if go on 650+.
For OS I don't know what to say you. I have DVD Windows 7 Ultimate and he is somewhere among thousands others things and copy of that DVD is on my USB Flash Drive. Than I search among others DVDs with movies when I couldn't install OS on my R5E first time from USB Flash.
I have DVD only external, some HP... But best if you can buy some cheapest possible.
That ASUS you say is good and better than Internal, they only make problems with cables inside of case and external is near my monitor easier if I
need for games and music, etc... I'm little old fashioned I like more games on DVD than list on internet.

With EVGA 650 G2 if you find you will hit jack pot.
That's now most wanted platform and manufacturer is Super Flower.
550 G2 version is I think among tree other model who get total score 10 on most famous and rigorous site for power supply testing. Only 3 ever if some other didn't get in mean time...
AX1500i Titanium, 1200 P2 Platinum and 550 G2 Gold and 650 G2 is same only stronger version.
And I think that price is arround 30 euro cheaper than similar models.
