Booting with Samsung Nvme 950 Pro

With the Maximus VII formula motherboard (Bios 2902)
Can you Boot using a Samsung NVME 950 Pro in the ASUS Hyper M.2 X4 Board.?
Can Configure as Storage Device but not Boot Device.

I have an Asus Maximus VII Gene Mobo and a Samsung 950 Pro in an Addonics adapter (Similar to the Asus Hyper m.2 x4 adapter). I have mine in the second PCIe X16 slot and it boots to it just fine. All Compatibility settings are set to UEFI boot only.

I have the Maximus VII Formula (BIOS 3003) and Samsung 950 pro SSD 512GB working fine, even as a boot device . I have mine in a Asus Hyper Mini 4x adapter. At first I could not get formula to see the 950. I had to delete the secure boot key off of my existing SSD. Then is was listed in the boot devices. It does not show up under NVME drives in the BIOS or anywhere else, not even during post. Only under HDD boot order and boot device.
