How to Disable DVD Eject Button? (G751)

Hello -

Every time I move my laptop, I accidentally hit the eject button on the DVD drive and it opens on me. One of these days, I'm going to bust it by mistake or wear it out. I never use the DVD drive and would prefer that the button simply not respond.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Disabling the drive in Device Manager doesn't work. I tried "LockCD" software, and it worked the first time I ran it, but since the next reboot, it doesn't work anymore.

Help appreciated.

I replaced it with HDD Caddy. Now I have 2 2,5 inch drives running in RAID 0

yeah this annoys me as well. Duck tape? Superglue?

Thanks...I thought of that, but it's a project for a rainy day for me. I'm looking for a simpler solution in the meantime.
