Rampage IV BE bios upgrade to 0701 - UEFI boot capability gone! help!!

Hi

I've never come across this before during a BIOS upgrade so would appreciate any suggestions.

I've been running Win10 Pro on my Rampage IV Black Edition with 2 x Samsung EVO 1TB SSD's in RAID 0. The UEFI BIOS was set up for fast POST and everything was running fine for a couple of years with BIOS 0601. I was doing a little driver/bios housekeeping and updated the BIOS to 0701. Once the process was complete Windows wouldn't boot up. I went into the UEFI interface and noted that my SSD's were no longer showing as UEFI in EZ Mode. I am completely at a loss, and would like to avoid a full format of my RAID drives and lose all my data.

Has anyone else experienced the same? able to suggest a fix?

When you upgrade BIOS, all settings reset.. So you have to go back and change Intel RST controller to RST mode instead of RSTE.. Also change CSM and turn CSM off.

Thank you Bolts, I'll give it a go. Seems also that my Raid has failed as well, I'll thing again before updating the Bios unless its crucial.

Doesn't sound like your RAID array is abd/corrupt.. You just need to have the correct settings in BIOS.
