Picked up my system today and haven't done much with it today; had other things to do. I did load optimized BIOS defaults after flashing 1402 though and left it as is.

The shop thought it's surges that causes it, and I borrowed a surge protector thingy socket block of them, or I should RMA the PSU, they said. I'm not convinced at this point it's surges. If only for finding it weird where they suddenly came from.

Tried to disable Thunderbolt and I can but is also enables some sort of native PCI setting? Is that okay, and, what is it?

I did make pics for you to look at, of the socket and CPU from all sides.

Has anyone spotted anomalies in the BIOS settings, or with the CPU / socket? Also see previous page, last post.

Since I built it in the 760T Saturday the issue has not reorcurred yet, I say very carefully because I don't want to jinx it. BIOS is now 1402, loaded optimized defaults, disabled windows fast boot. Left a game on overnight, AC chronicles China, and will leave another on tonight. Come weekend I'll try to set my RAM manually and continue down this road. If that works I'll try a CPU OC anew, taking a different approach but that will be another thread.

Another overnight run, this time AC: Syndicate (hopped on the train so it would actually have to render stuff) completed successfully (a nine hour run). Manual RAM tonight.

Boot loop happened once at the shop with no OC on the CPU but RAM with XMP enabled.

That's a 10+ hour long run of syndicate with manually set RAM complete. Dare I say it's working now...?

Exactly, I wanted constant different load levels for the RAM. Will continue this over the weekend and maybe even OC the CPU again. I admit I'm weary of the system still, worried it might suddenly happen again. But it's passed every test for a week now with no issues. Just not sure when to declare it solved.
