Cooling Pads and GL552VW, waste of $ ?

I owe a GL552VW - air intake vents at bottom as expected like many other models. I always wonder if the small elevation from the slight raised 'feet' at the bottom of the notebook is high enough for air to flow in.

Does having one of them laptop cooler pad help? Probably not necessary, so just wondering if it's a waste of $

    Thanks

it is, unless the notebook is designed to be hot on the bottom, which it most likely isn't.

I went out to get one anyway only because I wanted to angle the laptop. I loaded up Battlefield 4 and monitored the temperatures of CPU and GPU and I got a 10-12 deg C cooler temp!

Use deepcool cooler, which is the best for gaming laptops

I use an usb extractor fan at the exhaust outlet. Reduces temp about 5 deg celcius.
